Easy Coconut and Almond Macaroons

These pretty macaroons are the easiest biscuits to make. Just stir the first two ingredients together and decorate with an almond and bake.  So easy and delicious and just right to have with a nice cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of Condensed Milk
  • 250 g of desiccated coconut
  • whole raw almonds to decorate (approx 30)

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 C Fan Forced
  2. Line a tray with baking paper
  3. Combine coconut and condensed milk in a bowl and mix well
  4. Use a tablespoon measure to portion out the mixture and using a teaspoon gently lift out from the tablespoon and place the rounded mounds onto the lined baking tray, spacing them 3 cm apart.  Tidy up any edges if neededIMG_20200411_130245-Almond and coconut biscuits4-
  5. Take an almond and gently press into the middle of the coconut mixture
  6. Bake in pre heated oven for 15 minutes or until lightly brownedAlmond and coconut biscuits finished2020-04-10
  7. When lightly golden, remove from the oven and leave the macaroons on the tray for two minutes and then lift onto a rack to cool
