Happy Australia Day!

On this sunny summer day in Sydney, Australia Day 2023, my thoughts go back to all things Australian and today it is fairy bread . Children loved the buttered bread with Hundreds and Thousands sprinkled over to make colourful party food.

The plate also has a blackberry design, the fruit of the fruiting weed, and scourge of open land and waterways. In spite of its terrible reputation we children loved to pick the delicious berries and gobble them up.
