Sandra has shared this recipe with us for her delicious and healthy Oat and Fruit slice and I hope you will enjoy making it as much as we enjoyed eating it.
Oat and Fruit Slice
1/4 cup margarine or 120mls Grape Seed Oil (Sandra used grape seed oil)
1/2 cup raw sugar
1 cup mixed dried fruit (you can also use a mix of cranberry, dates and sultanas)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup Self Raising wholemeal flour
1 cup rolled oats
1. Put margarine or grape seed oil, raw sugar and dried fruit in a bowl and microwave until the sugar is melted.
2. Allow this then to cool.
3. Add the beaten egg, self raising wholemeal flour, rolled oats and mix well.
4. Spread the mix in a greased baking tray.
5. Cook in a pre-heated oven at 180 for 15 minutes.
